Still at St. Mary's...

Well, it's officially Saturday night and we're still at St. Mary's. Audrey has now been taken off of all of her "tubes and cords" and moved into a crib. It was too hard for her to keep her body temperature up in the crib, so they put her back in the incubator to warm up. They are slowly trying to get her out of it, so that she can come home with us. This is our last hurdle before we get to go home.

Today she tried out her car seat and pooped all the way up her back to her armpits in the process. She quickly got a bath! Daddy is a pro at changing dirty diapers already! She is a great eater. We've "kind of" got this breast feeding thing figured out too. Hopefully we'll only be here two more days at the most...we are so excited to get her home!

First Visitors

Everyone was very excited to meet her! Abby was here too, but apparently we missed that photo! Sorry Ab. Send us one!

AUDREY KARA JENSEN

Our little angel is here! She suprised us on Monday, August 3! Mommy's water "broke" at 2 in the morning and the rest is history. We went to the hospital at about 7 a.m. and she arrived at 7:24 p.m. She is 5 lbs 4 oz. and is 17 1/2 inches long. She got to stay in the room with us until about 10 last night and then they decided to take her to the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) because her breathing wasn't great and she wouldn't eat. So, she's still there and they tell us that today will be a big day for her. They are slowing taking away the oxygen and fluids and we're going to try to get her to eat again today. So, we will just go sit by her all day! Brandon is a great daddy already. He went down to visit her several times last night.

35 Weeks

The baby has been dropping in the last two weeks and is sitting on my tailbone. I am feeling very pregnant now and looking that way too! The baby moves around all day now and is constantly kicking and turning. This weekend I could feel a whole foot sticking out my side!

Last weekend I had a great baby shower at Kayla's house. It was great to have close friends around for the day and later on I got my first ever pedicure!

33 Weeks

This last week, we worked hard around the house...painting the front door, shutters, and front porch. Brandon, Karen, and Olen power washed the house as well as installed a screen door. I've wanted one for a long time!
Brandon and I had another busy weekend! On Friday night, we went to the Mallard's game. Then on Saturday, we had our annual Doyle family boating day on Lake Wisconsin. It was so nice out on the water. Of course at least one part of me had to get fried...the inside of my left knee! Brandon also got beat up on the jet skiis! Then we went to Tiny's cookout (a friend that Brandon works with) in Mount Horeb. Today we took a tour of St. Mary's Hospital, so that we know where to go and park when the baby decides to come. Pretty sure we'll both forget everything they said today.
I feel like I've dropped a little bit, but still carrying pretty high. Our doctor said that everything is on track and looks good. The baby's head is down, butt on my right side, and feet on the left. I get kicked tons every night. We just sit back and watch.

Busy First Week of July

We started working on our basement this week. It is very exciting to watch it all come together. We also helped Ladd and Amanda celebrate their wedding this weekend. Wedding season is on hold now until the end of August...where we have four in one weekend:)
